Welcome to Sky Duty. Today we're going to take you on a quick tour of the app, so you can get off the ground and start flying. When you first log in, you'll see your schedule screen. But before we can fly, we need something to fly in. Tap the More icon in the bottom right, and select Aircraft. Tap the plus button to add a new plane. Here is one of our favorite features. Just type in your tail number, and tap the blue search icon. Sky Duty will automatically search the FAA registry, and pull in your aircraft's make, model and year. Next, enter your current Hobbs time. You can even assign a custom calendar color for this plane to keep your schedule organized. Let's go with purple. Hit Add, and your aircraft is ready for action.
Back in the More tab, you can also set up your crew, customize roles and permissions, and reach out to our support team, or submit new feature ideas. We are pilot-driven, so we love hearing from you. Let's book a trip. Head back to the Schedule tab, and tap the plus button. The app auto-generates a trip number for you. Select the aircraft we just added and enter your route, let's say Phoenix to Denver. You can easily add multiple legs, select your pilot in command, and adjust the passenger count. Once your route is set, tap Create.
Fast forward to flight day. On your schedule simply tap Start Flight as you take off. The app will immediately begin tracking your time. Once you've touched down safely, simply tap Mark as landed. This opens your post-flight entry. Just enter your ending Hobbs time, and Sky Duty automatically calculates your total flight time.
Notice an issue during the flight. You can report a squawk right from this screen. Add a description, snap a photo, and it goes straight to your maintenance team. Once you hit Save, your trip is instantly added to your digital logbook. Need a quick weather update? Tap the weather icon to see real-time forecasts and visibility for your destination. Your flights are saved directly into your logbook.
Finally let's track a quick expense. Head over to the Expenses tab, tap the plus button, and snap a picture of your fuel receipt to attach it right to your trip. When you're ready, you can easily export these expenses as a beautiful PDF or CSV report, complete with charts, and email it directly to your team.
And those are the basics. Welcome aboard Sky Duty. If you need any help along the way, reach out to us anytime at support@skyduty.com. Safe flying!
