Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account, including your name, email address, and organization details. We also collect flight operations data you enter into the app, such as flight logs, schedules, expenses, aircraft details, and crew information.
Payment Information
When you subscribe to Sky Duty, payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Sky Duty does not store your full credit card number, CVV, or complete card details on our servers.
We do store the following billing-related information:
- Last four digits of your payment card
- Card brand (e.g., Visa, Mastercard)
- Card expiration date
- Billing address
- Stripe customer and subscription identifiers
Subscription Data
We collect and store information related to your subscription, including:
- Subscription status (active, canceled, past due)
- Plan type and billing interval (monthly or annual)
- Number of aircraft on your account
- Payment history and invoice records
- Subscription start and end dates
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Sky Duty service, including scheduling, flight logging, maintenance tracking, and expense management. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for cloud data storage with row-level security policies. Local data on your device is stored using on-device encrypted storage.
Automatic Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
After cancellation or account deletion, we retain your data for 30 days before permanent removal, consistent with our Data Retention policy below.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Sky Duty:
- Stripe for payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
- Clerk for authentication
- Supabase for cloud data storage
- RainViewer and Aviation Weather Center for weather data
- FAA Registry for aircraft lookup data
Data Sharing with Payment Processor
When processing payments, we share the following information with Stripe:
- Your name and email address
- Billing address
- Payment card details (transmitted directly to Stripe, not stored by Sky Duty)
- Subscription plan and pricing information
We do not share your flight data, crew information, aircraft records, or operational data with Stripe or any payment processor.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at info@skyduty.net. You may also export your flight logs and records from within the app.
CCPA / California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

International Data Transfers
Sky Duty processes and stores data in the United States. By using the service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and its processing there. We apply the same security protections to all data regardless of where the user is located.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
